TheFTIR spectrometersfrom MIDAC CORPORATION are modular, modern and technologically advanced instruments.
The MIDAC spectrometer is a robust and compact laboratory instrument and can be used both in research laboratories and on mobile vehicles such as vans, helicopters, airplanes, and in-line in industrial plants.

THE'InterferometerMichelson's patented movable mirror (US patent Nos. 4, 671, 656, etc.) slides on a dual-bearing electromagnetic cushion. This eliminates any mechanical friction and allows for automatic and permanent alignment of the interferometer (no manual adjustments required by the operator).

The patented movement of the same allows the spectrometer to operate in any position (Vertical, Horizontal, Oblique) and to be easily placed on any support, under a hood, etc.

FTIR Spectrometry - INTERSPEC 200-X

The Interspec 200-X series of FTIR spectrometers, based on Fourier transform technology, combines unique features to deliver high performance in a compact instrument. Measuring just 59 x 39 x 19 cm, the Interspec 200-X is considered one of the most compact and versatile FTIR spectrometers. The 200-X features a unique design in its optics, software and firmware, all specifically developed to significantly reduce analysis times. The Michelson interferometer geometry uses a new self-compensating optical system. The Interspec 200-X design eliminates the need for conventional corner-cube optics and dynamic alignment. In practice, this means the instrument can be used in any environment

Sample compartment

The sample compartment is exceptionally spacious and can accommodate all sample types compatible with FTIR spectroscopy. It can also house the full range of accessories supplied by specialist accessory manufacturers.

Open Path Systems

The M2400 series Fourier transform spectrometers are designed to operate in emission mode. They can be fitted with a telescope to aim at distant samples for detection. Their construction features are identical to those of the TITAN series mentioned above.
The M240X model is the basis for various open-path optical monitoring systems and infrared radiometry.

The basic system operates in emission mode up to approximately 50 metres. A suitable telescope is required for operation beyond 50 m and up to approximately 1 km. If the temperature difference between the sample and detector is insufficient to detect the sample, the system can easily be converted to the “Bistatic Configuration.” This configuration adds an external source to the emission system, recreating the same operating conditions as traditional transmission measurements. The optics and detector must be selected according to the OPERATING ENVIRONMENT and SPECTRAL RANGE. Field of view: 20 mrad (without telescope). Aperture: 3.8 cm. MIDAC CORPORATION can offer spectrometers operating in the MIR and NIR, with suitable detectors and completely hydrophobic optics.
