GBC CINTRA UV/VIS/NIR
Double optical beam spectrophotometers
The new Cintra series of high-performance double-beam spectrophotometers offers the versatility required for the diverse applications of the modern laboratory.
The range meets every need, from routine quality control applications to high-performance systems featuring extremely low stray light, analysis up to 4 absorbance units, variable bandwidth, and a double monochromator.li
An extended measurement range is available (up to 1200 nm), along with a full range of accessories for automated, faster analysis. Highlights include an integrating sphere (UV and VIS) for measuring solids, films, pastes, creams, lenses, etc.; micro-sampling and Peltier temperature control.
CINTRA series spectrophotometers combine advanced optics, featuring perfect symmetry between the two beams and a highly sensitive front-window photomultiplier, with feature-rich, user-friendly, and flexible software.

Technical Specifications
They feature a virtual double-beam optic: the optical-electronic system consists of a beam produced by a Xenon lamp, and an electronic beam, called "virtual," with a "correction" function for the instrument's best performance. This correction function is guaranteed by the acquisition of a baseline, regularly compared with current readings, thus allowing the instrument to perform scans equivalent to those of a double optical beam.
The advanced microprocessor and sophisticated resident software allow for a high analytical standard, thanks to the constant monitoring and processing of the results that the instrument provides.
Thanks to its small number of mirrors and completely sealed optics, the instrument guarantees high system energy, long-term reliability, and extremely low maintenance costs. It offers the same performance as dual-beam optical systems. All models are ISO9002 certified and bear the CE mark, having been manufactured in compliance with EEC LVD and CEM 89/336 standards.
The main technical features of the series are:
Automatic wavelength calibration with self-diagnostics of optical, mechanical and electronic functions during startup;
Automatic search for the peak of maximum absorbance with baseline correction;
Concentration readings with automatic calculation and/or manual entry of the K factor;
Fully sealed and coated optics for safe maintenance of specifications over time
High-resolution LCD graphics monitor, 430 mm total width, with “display scrolling” function
Possible Ultra-micro sampling 50 µl (5 µl with special ultra-micro-cuvette);
Stray light < 0.01% at 220 and 340 nm;
Ratio of absorbances at two wavelengths for DNA/RNA (e.g. 260/280 nm) and OLI (e.g. 220/240 nm) measurements;
Fully sealed and coated optics to maintain specifications over time;
Quantitative analysis in A, %T and concentration, with 1st-, 2nd- or 3rd-order calibration curves using up to 30 standards, with storage for 30 methods and their calibration curves;
Computer-independent instrument (optional serial link, ready to use with or without management software).
